Summer Drop 01: Tropicale

Get ready babes ‘cause our first summer drop is going to be bright as can be. As Spring turns into Summer, we’re going all out with loud prints and bright colors, inspired by tropical vacays and pool days at the club - hence the name Tropicale. We’re taking back Summer this year after being cooped up indoors in the last, and we couldn’t think of a better way for an epic comeback than with hot new suits.

This drop comes with two fun and vibrant prints as well as two megawatt colors that will be available in all your favorite Blackbough bikini styles. So, get ready to add a much-needed splash of color to your social feeds! Here’s the rundown of what’s coming at you hard these sunny days:

Our love for all things retro bloomed even more with the new Floral Punch print. This bold and bright design is a clear nod to the age of flower power - a trend that just won’t go away and we’re here for it. We’re recently loving everything vintage inspired and this one makes the perfect addition to those pieces.

This summer, our belief that brighter is definitely better can’t be more appropriate and seen in our new Summer collection, where you’re sure to turn heads and get spotted a mile away on the shore. New underwire tops are coming in the Mimi and the Bri to satisfy your every need. We also suggest you have your eyes fixed on the Martini set everyone’s been dying to get their hands on - it’s the swimsuit with many ways to wear, but everyone’s current favorite is the inverted bikini style this 2021.

From the newfound sunshine we couldn’t get enough of, we basically got its hex code and put it on this collection. Our newest color, Sunshine Yellow (a current color trend too) is meant to be as bright as the sun and an instant mood booster. It doesn’t get any brighter than this color, and we hope it brightens your every beach day when you wear it! Feel brighter than sunshine in the Billie set, another versatile bikini style which can be worn multiple ways.

Our inspiration for this dreamy print comes from the beautiful colorful buildings of Havana and the stunning hues of the sunrise just beyond them. Trust us, this Solstice print was made to bring on the heat.

Our CEO and Founder, Jem, is always the first to give new swimsuits a test run before they’re ever available on site. “One of my favorite styles in the Solstice print is the Chloe set - I’m completely obsessed with the loud unique print paired with fierce strappy details. This print also goes so well with some vintage clay rings for the full retro feel. Everything about it just brings out the Scorpio in me.”

You can thank our graphic designer, Martina, for coming up with this print. While it may have been her first time helping out in designing the swim itself as she’s usually working on making our stories look bomb, she totally nailed the bright watercolor peg we were going for.

This charming, new Wild Orchid hue sits right between purple and pink. Look as pretty as the flower it’s named after in this eye-catching shade that flatters every skin tone. This gorgeous color manages to be warm and sweet at the same time, so we think our Sophia set with its cute ties and ruched details might be the favorite for this one.

The Tropicale Collection drops April 27 8 AM PT so remember to set your alarms - you’re not the only one waiting for the hottest summer drop yet. Two new prints and two new colors are about to take over your summer bikini wardrobe, and your ‘gram feed too.
