What We Love About Fall
It’s been a long 2020 and while we’ve held on to sweet summer as long as we could, fall is here and we have to embrace it! Of course, we’ll always be summer babes, but there’s something about fall that just makes our hearts full. We’re counting down the things that make us grateful and excited this season!
1. Sweater Weather
Fall’s weather is perfect. The crisp autumn breeze makes it ideal for afternoon strolls, picnics in the park, and hot coffee for a change (we all love our iced lattes). All you need to do is to curl up under your favorite blanket, put on your cozy sweats, get a warm mug of cocoa, and scroll through netflix for a good self-care day! And speaking of netflix…
2. Netflix Has No Chill
Netflix always comes through when it comes to good shows and movies to watch, and its November line-up is no different!
The Queen’s Gambit follows the life of Elizabeth Harmon, an orphan growing up post-Cold War learning how to become a grandmaster in chess. Wow, we know - boring?! But don’t write this series off just yet as most people swear by it! Anya Taylor-Joy does an amazing job making chess exciting and thrilling… and have we mentioned the amazing outfits and sets?
90’s classic Dawson’s Creek is finally coming to Netflix! Although you won’t get that original theme song in the series, that’s definitely no reason not to watch (read: binge) the entire season! We’re going to spend a whole weekend watching all six seasons and crying our eyes out again just like we used to.
American Horror Story’s 9th season is also making its appearance on Netflix, and 1984 releases on November 13, so mark your calendars and watch them together with your friends on Teleparty!
Finally, to all royal family fans, the fourth season of The Crown airs on November 15. It’ll be focusing on the late Princess Diana (who ISN’T obsessed with her?) and will introduce Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. Are you as excited as we are to meet these new characters?
3. Fall’s Fave Spice
Call us basic but we love our pumpkin spice! From lattes to ice cream, doughnuts to cereal, and everything in between, we just can’t get enough of this fall staple! You can even get these custom Starbucks drinks to make the perfect season’s drink!
4. The Great Outdoors
There are so many fun outdoor activities to do during the fall! We’re already Googling the closest pumpkin patches so we can take cute photos for the ‘gram. You can also check out different apple orchards and go apple picking for when you bake all those apple pies, apple crumbles, and apple turnovers! Or, you can go for a straight-up hike where it’s safe, to get some fresh air (and easily keep up the social distancing)!
5. Thanksgiving
Our favorite holiday is coming up! While we’re sure the holidays are going to look different this year, it doesn’t make them any less special. Despite everything that’s happened this year, there’s still a lot to be thankful for! We’re looking forward to taking a break from school and work, getting to spend time with our families, and enjoying a feast with the ones we love most. And of course, Black Friday sale comes after Thanksgiving, so you know what’s coming! *wink*
6. Fall Fashion
Dressing up for fall is one of the things we love most about the season! While people tend to lean towards dark and rich colors for the fall, we’re having more fun this year! We’re calling it - this season’s colors are going to be more muted tones that remind us of summer. Think fresh greens, beige tones, and off-whites! Maybe it’s the beach babe in us, but these are the pieces that we’ve been gravitating towards. Good thing fall allows for transitional dressing, so we can rock our cute linen outfits and short shorts in these shades for a little while longer!
Cami Linen Set in Matcha
Thank God for breezy days that let us wear shorts and linen! Expect us to be rocking the Cami Set in Matcha in this earthy shade for as long as the weather is warm enough for linens, but cool enough to stay under the sun. Just throw on a cute ‘kini or bralette underneath and you’re good to go!
Cami Linen Set in White
We love the Cami so much, we made it in two colors! We think the White version is perfect for those quick coffee runs. This versatile set looks cute paired together or can work just as well when worn separately.
Aya Linen Set in Matcha
Now, the Aya Linen Set is the perfect pumpkin patch outfit! Can you imagine how the fresh green hue will pop against the orange pumpkins on your Instagram feed? Wear the top knotted when the wind gets chilly, or loose for that effortlessly cool vibe.
Aya Linen Pants + White Eyelet Swim Top + Spring Fling Bandana
For sunset barbecues or late afternoon bonfires by the beach, you can rely on Whites to make you look stylish and relaxed! Best of all, the linen fabric works well even when it’s wrinkled, so you don’t have to worry about messing it up when you’re sitting down on the sand or lounging by the pool. Top it off with a Bandana and you’re suddenly the most stylish one there!
Sophia Set in Creamsicle
For a super sweet ‘kini, we’ll be slipping into Creamsicle all autumn long in its muted orange shade. Best of all, the Sophia Set comes with tie details that allow you to customize your bikini's fit, making it as sexy when scrunched, or covered when stretched, just how you like it!
Britt Set in Candy Pink
Some days, you just want to stay cozy and save slaying for another day. That’s what the Britt Set is for! This oversized sweatshirt with a relaxed fit will leave you feeling comfy all day long, while still looking put together with matchy sweatshorts. We’re all obsessed!
While 2020 may not have started on a good note, there’s no reason it can’t end on a great one. With fall just beginning, it’s looking like a season of fresh starts. What do you love most about fall?
