2021 Nail Trend Report

Nail art has definitely been our go-to accessory of 2021. If, in the past, a fresh mani meant a solid coat of color to match or complement your outfit, in 2021, manicures have become its very own fashion statement.

What we love about nail art is that it can be a way to express and pamper yourself at the same time. With times as crazy as the ‘20s, we’re all about that revenge TLC we can get.

If you haven’t decided on which design to get on your digits, why not get some inspo from your fave kweens?

Anastasia Karanikolaou, better known as Stassiebaby, sure knows how to match her nails with her outfits! With nails as bangin’ as these, who needs other accessories, right?

Kim K, on the other hand, went on the other end of the spectrum. Instead of going all out with her nails, she chose a classy, muted color that goes well with just about anything.

Riverdale’s resident HBIC Madelaine Petsch loves to rock the negative space look. Check out these cool wavy designs she has on her nude nails.

No nail art list is complete with the reigning nail queen, Kylie Jenner. Kylie’s been known to change nails almost as frequently as she changes outfits -- which is A LOT. Check out her retro-inspired nails (which, btw, are super on-trend right now!)

When it comes to nail art, the sky really is the limit! There are tons of places you can get inspo for your nail designs - from patterns you see every day to your OOTD. Take it from us girls - we’ve taken our fave bikinis and made them into custom nails! Warning: you might get jealous.

Bold and Bright

Before we get all crazy with the prints, of course you can still go for a bright solid color and still turn heads!

Totally vanilla, but still make it extra! According to @micahmaligat, the trick is to pick an eye-catching color like a striking yellow to go with your bright ‘kini.

Groovy Florals

When we say florals are trending, we mean THESE. Groovy takes on fresh blooms are all the rage this year, with bold and bright pops of color that instantly puts you in the best summer mood.

A strong fave with many of you, the Floral Punch has been restocked (and sold out) again and again. We don’t blame you because we love it too! Check out how our Customer Service Head @asokmara matched her nails to her Floral Punch ‘kini by painting a deep blue base then adding bright colored flowers over them. Wondering if this is what she wears when she’s answering your emails? Maybe.

Looking for something sweet? Operations girl @mayaparaguya wears the unreleased Berry Blossoms print from the upcoming Surf’s Up Collection - watch out for it!

If you want a brighter pop of color, look to the Groovy Garden to spark your creativity because our Graphic Designer @gabbyymac did just that. Here she has a mustard yellow base with a pink accent nail with psychedelic flowers to be painted over them.

Another way you can incorporate the floral trend is by using negative space, just like our Social Media Manager @b_esguerra in Mojito. This look starts with a nude or muted base, preferably a shade close to your natural nail color. Then, let your creativity go wild! Draw on wavy lines, cute flowers, funky tips, or cute polka dots (just make sure not to cover the entire area!).

Boho Vibes

Make it a hipster vibe with some boho-style nails and swim. Think about layering colors, patterns and know no bounds. Bohos are known for their carefree attitudes, so forget going for a cohesive look - different is better!

PR babe @cheskationgson matched her new Capri suit with her nails by painting swirly patterns and cute polka dots all over a nude base.

The only blues we’re feeling this summer is our Graphic Artist @walanuh’s take on Mykonos! We love how she took inspo from the swirls in the pattern and replicated it on her nails with different shades of blue.

Hippie Trippy

Groovy waves, funky patterns, and even splashes of color - thes prints are sure to be a visual trip!

Customer Service girl @angeasperas is serving some cute patchwork-inspired nails to match her Indie Kid print swimsuits. Everything about this is just giving us a major blast from the past with our old baubles and trinkets.

For those looking to make a splash this season, check out Marketing babe @nikkinarciso’s cute Summer Splash inspired accent nail!

Our designer @martinalebron shows us it’s okay to color outside the lines! Her psychedelic nails look super ‘70s - perfectly matching her (unreleased) Cosmo Crush ‘kini!

You can also sport your favorite prints on your digits. Check out our Founder and Designer @jeminaty sporting the trippy checkerboard nails to match her Sage Trip ‘kini coming soon. Who’s excited?
