Road Trip Essentials

Have the months spent cooped up in your homes made you miss all the sunshine and outdoors? You’re definitely not alone! From your neighbors to popular celebs, everyone’s been going on those long scenic road trips to get some fresh air. While we can’t hop on a plane for a vacay just yet, the simple outdoors and a camping trip might be exactly what you need - some time outside without the crowds and enclosed spaces! Of course - safety always comes first so make sure to keep wearing your face masks, sanitize regularly and if possible, quarantine and get tested first!

Who’s who outside?

Justin and Hailey Bieber

Mr. and Mrs. Bieber took an envy-worthy stateside vacation on Justin’s old tour bus. Adorably named “The Bieber Road Trip,” the Biebs are driving all across the country while Justin writes his music. They even made a pit stop at Kanye’s ranch in Wyoming!

Camila Mendes and Madelaine Petsch

Riverdale’s hot girls in charge dressed it down for their summer road trip, switching their signature stilettos for comfy chucks and overalls! They started their trip in Escondido Falls in Malibu towards Big Sur and California Redwoods.

Demi Lovato and Max Ehrich

Newly-engaged Demi Lovato and her fiance Max Ehrich got on a road trip to the scenic Joshua Tree in the Mojave Desert and got all those ‘gram worthy pics. Doesn’t Demi look so cozy in her sweats?

After seeing all of them on their road trips, are you ready to go on yours? We’ve got the list of what you’ll need!

Going on a quick Road Trip?

Here’s what you’ll need for your quick getaway!

1. Comfy Sweats

Outfit is key to enjoy the ride, so leave the tight jeans at home and go for comfort. Look cute while still staying cozy in our new Britt Sweat Set that will surely earn you those double taps on Instagram!

2. Comfy Sneaks

The best pairing to those comfy sweat sets are your favorite sneakers! Don’t be lazy with slippers, you’ll have us to thank when you suddenly have to change a tire and wish you laced up!

3. Sunnies

Whether you’re driving or riding shotgun, nobody likes staring into the hot sun! Protect your eyes but make it fashion with your fave pair of sunnies - your selfies will thank you for it!

4. Reusable Water Bottles

You might not get a rest stop for a chance for a water refill, so it’s a good idea to bring a big tumbler so you can stay hydrated during your trip. Our personal favorites are the ones with straws so it’s easy to drink while the car is moving - you don’t want all that water splashing on your face when you hit a sudden brake!

5. Snacks

Hangry (read: hungry and angry) people are no fun on road trips! Keep everybody happy by packing some of your favorite chips, granola bars, and cereals to munch on - everything just tastes better when you’re on the road!

6. Navi App

Unless you plan on winging it, it’s a good idea to download a navigation app and check out the route beforehand before you head out. Best to avoid squabbles that ruin the trip!

7. Power Bank

We KNOW you’re about to take a ton of pics and stories, so make sure your phone doesn’t run out of juice!

8. Killer Playlist

This can get tricky since everyone’s going to have their own unique tastes in music! The designated driver usually gets the last call on the beats, but make your road trip extra fun by curating a playlist that everyone can sing to!

Going Camping?

If you’re down to take that road trip to the next level and game to immerse yourself outside, a camping trip would be fun for sure! Aside from what we’ve mentioned earlier, here’s a list of additional items you’d wanna pack to make sure you’re well-prepared to rough it out!

1. First-Aid Kid

Make sure you have all the basic supplies like band-aids, bandages, antiseptic, painkillers, and antacids and anti-allergy medicines! You’ll never know when you’ll need them and it’s always better to be safe than sorry!

2. Sleeping Arrangements

Of course you’re going to need a tent and a sleeping bag! Bring a comfy pillow too so you can still sleep soundly so you won’t feel the twigs poking through the ground on your back! You can also check these Marshmallow sets out - they aren’t just comfortable but they’re super cute too!

3. Bug Spray

Don’t be a walking snack for mosquitoes! Make sure to stash a couple of bottles of bug spray. Itchy bites totally ruin the vibes!

4. Hand Sanitizer

Keep safe when heading outdoors by constantly sanitizing your hands and the surfaces you touch! Alcohol in a spray bottle works too - and is much more convenient than a squeeze bottle!

5. Kitchen Essentials

Stove, fuel, matches, pans, chopping board, cutlery, utensils, dish wipe and can opener! And of course, the food you’ll be eating!

6. Toiletry Bag

When you’re camping or on a road trip, you’ll want to have all your essentials on-the-go in one bag. Stash away your shampoo, conditioner, soap, wipes, hairbrush, towel, toothbrush, toothpaste and tissue so it’s all in one place for when you need it. Just because you’re out doesn’t mean you can skip your skincare routine! Keep it to the 3-step minimum of a Cleanser, Toner and Moisturizer - the 10 steps can stay at home.

7. Backpack

You’ll need a cute but functional little bag to stuff all your essentials in!

Who else gets annoyed when you couldn’t find your scrunchies right when they need them? Scrunchies and headbands keep your hair out of the way while still keeping you looking cute when you’re camping! Get your cutest accessories here and stuff them all in your cutest little bag that you can conveniently carry on your shoulders when you take a hike!

With this list, you’re probably all set for that quick trip!
